DIY Toilet Bowl Cleaner

This is another DIY Cleaner recipe that I posted back in September 2013, but lost the photos to during several blog moves. So today I'm sharing my DIY Toilet Bowl Cleaner again, with updated info and pictures. Once you see how easy it is to whip up, with just two simple ingredients most of us always have in our pantry, you'll never want to buy the chemical laden store brands again.

How bad are they? Go grab your bottle of cleaner and take a look at the ingredient list. Or how about the health warnings on some of them?
"Avoid contact with skin" or "Not recommended for use by persons with heart conditions, or chronic respiratory conditions"? I don't know about you, but those things certainly motivated me to ditch them for a more natural alternative.

No worries about all those warnings when you use this natural alternative though. Baking Soda cleans, deodorizes, and scours, white vinegar removes mold, mildew, odors, and stains, while the foaming action of the baking soda and vinegar together helps loosen dirt and grime.

See that foaming action? That's what loosens the dirt and grime so it can be easily scrubbed away.

A natural cleaner that uses 2 simple ingredients, works just as well as the store bought stuff, and cost pennies to make. It's the perfect frugal formula for cleaning your toilet!

DIY Toilet Bowl Cleaner

1/2 cup vinegar
1/2 cup baking soda

Pour the baking soda into the toilet bowl.
Add the vinegar and get ready for some fun, because it is going to foam and fizz like crazy.
Let the mixture sit for a couple of minutes, then scrub with a toilet brush to clean the inside of the bowl.

What are some of your favorite natural cleaning products?
