Ultimate Garlic Breadsticks
1 1/2 cups warm water
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon yeast
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 1/2 - 4 cups flour
1/4 cup butter
3/4 cup grated Parmesan
2 tablespoons Johnny's Garlic Seasoning (recipe below)
Mix water, sugar and yeast together in the bowl of a stand mixer. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Add salt along with flour, one cup at a time, until well incorporated.
Mix on high for 5 minutes, then let the dough rest for 5 minutes.
Melt the butter and pour half of it into a jelly roll pan (large cookie sheet).
Place the dough in the center of the pan. Let rest for 2 - 3 minutes, then pat the dough out flat until it reaches the edges of the pan.
Pour the other half of the butter onto the dough, and spread it around evenly.
Sprinkle the Johnny's Garlic Seasoning over the dough, followed by the Parmesan cheese.
With a pizza cutter cut the dough into three rows lengthwise, and then 12 rows height wise
Put the pan into a 170 degree F pre-heated oven for 10 minutes. (The breadsticks should rise about 1 inch).
Turn oven up to 350 degrees F and bake for 10 - 12 minutes, or until golden brown.
Remove from oven and let rest again for 5 minutes. Redefine the cutting lines with the pizza cutter and serve.
