Got 5 minutes? Then you have time to whip up this fresh and flavorful, Easy No Cook Pizza Sauce. No cooking required!
My daughter Melissa and I have done a lot experimenting and fine tuning to get this tasty Pizza Sauce. The spices shine through, but without being over powering. It's really easy to make too, with no cooking involved, so there's no reason not to make your own sauce. It taste SO much better then the store bought stuff. It freezes great to, so you'll be able to keep some on hand for whenever the pizza mood strikes you.
Easy No-Cook Pizza Sauce
Ingredients
1 - 15 oz can tomato sauce
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 tablespoon oregano
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon basil
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Directions
Combine ingredients in a medium size bowl, stirring with a whisk until blended.
Allow to sit for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to marry before using.
Makes enough for about 3 large pizzas.
*Cooks note: Don't skip the marinating step, it really makes a difference in the flavor.
Can be frozen for up to 2 months.
